Pediatric Therapist
Position Description:
Are you interested in a career in pediatric behavioral health?
Full-time LCSW/LPC (Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor) positions are available in this fast-paced, growing practice. Prior counseling experience is a bonus!
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and family therapy for children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, ADHD, depression, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral issues, and other mental health concerns.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and Social Skills Training.
- Collaborate with pediatricians, school personnel, and caregivers to coordinate care and provide recommendations.
- Educate families on coping strategies, behavioral management techniques, and emotional regulation skills.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation in accordance with state and ethical guidelines.
- Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- LCSW or LPC
- Interest in therapeutic process for ages 4-18.
- Current Missouri License required.
- Demonstrate ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain effective and professional relationship with patients, their caregivers and members of the health care team; ability to effectively engage patients and caregivers in a therapeutic relationship.
- Experience in screening, assessment and treatment of common mental health disorders.
- Familiarity with brief, structured counseling techniques (behavioral modification, motivational interviewing)
- Working knowledge of evidence-based treatments for common mental health disorders.
- Basic knowledge of psychopharmacology for common mental health disorders.
- Electronic medical record experience would be ideal.
